I’m Linda Nelson, creator of HONORWEAVE ™ and the Memorial Casket Drape,
US Patent #7251870, and other unique memorial options.
If you’ve ever been to a funeral of a close friend or family member, you likely picked a few flowers from the funeral spray as a last remembrance of your relationship with someone special.
After my father and two of my sisters died within a few years of each other, I started thinking about a lasting memorial keepsake that could be taken home as a remembrance, rather than the flowers that withered and died a few days later.
I envisioned something that could be placed under the flowers on the casket and embroidered with some appropriate words—or even just a beautiful piece of fabric to decorate the somber casket. This would honor the person you loved, dress up the casket, and could then be taken home and used in any way you like—family gatherings, a shadow box, or draped across a piece of furniture.
When my mother passed away in 2020, I was delighted to honor her with a beautiful Memorial Casket Drape (see picture on the 'Origins' tab). Loving Wife & Mother
In 2022, my mother passed away. After moving in with us in 2014, she dealt with Alzheimer’s and the ravages of cancer. Despite all that, she remained a cheerful and devoted mother to me. I was pleased to be able to honor her memory with a memorial casket drape.
